Poker Glossary
01/27/2011Poker Glossary mean to the terms used in playing the game of poker. Learning the terminology used in poker is a very important key to understanding the game of poker. It is also fun to what these words in that language only way to know for players or players participating in the poker game. Not only will you be able to speak the words and with other players to understand, but learning the phraseology you feel accepted by others at his table. Let’s now look at some of these words and phrases and down for you.
Action: This means that the amount of money that is used during a hand.
All In: This means that chips or cash on hand is more of what you are calling or betting.
Backdoor: This means that drawing cards on the turn and the river which gives a drawing hand. This is also known as a runner.
Button: This is an acrylic disk that the owner of a hand means.
Buy: This term means a bluff your way in winning the hand.
Check: Check means. Check is also another word for a poker chip.
Cripple: This term means that you have cleared the deck. For example, you have queens and the other two queens flop then the coverage is invalid.
Dog: Dog means that you or another player is the weakest.
Speed: As the game fast or aggressive betting and raising as much as possible.
Double: It means that out of hand or loss of the hand. Also known as down or throw a hand.
Gutshot: Also known as filling an inside straight.
Views: This is carried out on the flop in Holdem poker and means that some of these cards will help your hand.
Kicker: This is a card that is strange and certainly the best of the two hands that are approximately equivalent.
Muck: Refers to the cards that are folded by the player or burned by the dealer.
Nuts: refers to the best possible hand in relation to the council.
Pocket: The cards dealt face down to you in the Holdem poker.
